Hubs + co.

Hubs can have different amount of holes, and these have to fit your rim. Most of the time it will 36 holes, but there also versions with 28, 32 and 48 holes. Rear hubs are available as cassette or freecoaster models. Cassette is a regular freewheel with the typical clicking sound. Freecaoster hubs won't pedal back when rolling backwards. They are a good choice for fakie tricks, but also need more maintenance. If you like grinding, you should really use hubguards. For better hubs you will get spare parts too.
