Grips + co.
Grips are available with our without a flange. Most brakeless riders like flangeless grips better, because they can help with your barspins. When you catch the bars you can't accidentically grab on your flange. If you ride with brakes and/or like the classic look, you might find grips with flange more fitting. There are also the so called lock-on or clamp-on grips. These can be screwed down onto your handlebars. Especially under race conditions this can be a big advantage as you won't get "throttle-grips" even if it's wet. Barends belong in this categorie as well. They safely cover the end of your handlebars. If your barends are "done", get some new ones asap. There's nothing more horrible than to fall on an open barend.
